The Year In Review – 2011

In 2011, the global markets were fairly disappointing. U.S. equities returning close to zero, European equities getting modestly beaten down, Emerging Markets struggled leading with China and India and ending with Brazil, Russia, South Africa, Turkey and Egypt. Overall, most hedge funds and general agricultural commodities generated negative returns, while precious medals, natural resources and fixed income (with the exception of most European bonds) achieved modest gains for the risks taken.
